Giveaway, Redesign & Second Blogoversary to Add Vodka!

Ladies and gentlemen:

It’s the second blogoversary of this awesome little slice of internet heaven and I have a bunch of fun surprises for you!

First of all, no more fluorescent yellow to hurt your eyes when you visit! If you are reading on Google Reader, I highly suggest you press that nifty button to take you to my site, because quite frankly, it’s a piece of art.

I think the new look is a lot easier on the eyes, a lot easier to use, and is a lot more sophisticated than my old one.
I thought it would be fun to switch it up and make it pretty.

I want to say THANK YOU to all of my supporters out there, those of you who are subscribed (and even those of you who aren’t although I do like you a little less 😉 ), and those of you with whom I interact on a daily, weekly, or even monthly basis. Those of you who like my Facebook fan page, follow me on Twitter, and basically just support me in my blogging journey: I appreciate you.

I’m so lucky to have stumbled into such an amazing blogosphere. Also, it appears that word agrees that blogosphere is a real word. I don’t even think I added it to my dictionary on here yet it’s not showing up as an error. One small step for man, one giant leap for bloggers.

Anyway, to celebrate my blogoversary, I can’t think of a better way than to do a giveaway FOR bloggers.
So, I’ve paired up with Andrea to give away some custom social media buttons for your blog or website!
Andrea designed mine (look over there –> – oh, and USE them!) and they are such a fun way to personalize your blog.

Terms and Conditions:

Upon winning this giveaway, I will put you in touch with Andrea. She will design your buttons based on your specifications, and do up to three revisions based on your feedback. Because, seriously – and let’s not be ridiculous here – she’s not a mind reader. So give her a vision if you have one, and if not, let her work her magic.

I have set up Rafflecopter for this giveaway.

So enter, enjoy, and good luck!

  1. Congrats on finally getting your site redesign Daisy! It looks awesome. Definitely a big improvement from those bright colors you had up before. Glad to hear you have an official goal for going semi-unanonymous too. I’m sure you’ll get to 500 subscribers in no time.

  2. Nice new look! I also just did a redesign and could use some fancy new buttons. Congrats on the blogoversary!

  3. I love the new blog look Daisy! I hope one day to get myself sorted out as well, going self hosted and a blog redesign. Just need the push that’s all! Keep at it ! Cheers Mr.CBB

  4. Congrats on two years! Site redesign looks brilliant, btw. Blogosphere is a real word because Carrie Smith said it is on our podcast (so it must be true).

  5. Congrats on the redesign. Looks great Daisy!
Even though you’re only half cool by going half anonymous, it’s still better than being fully anonymous.

  6. Wow, looks great! Andrea is all over the place, and everywhere she goes, she leaves stunning webpages. Nice work!

Congrats on the second year, that is truly an accomplishment. Most people give up after 6 months (crossing fingers, I’m only at 3.5 months), so you’ve definitely perservered. Hope your 3rd year is even more successful!

  7. Nice design but may I point out the text is a bit light. Have you considered making it a bit darker (actually easier to read in my opinion). Also, the logo is being stretched from 940px to 980, making it blurry. Nice giveaway by the way! I may have to enter.

    1. There’s also a pixel out of place. If you look hard enough, I bet you’ll find it!

I mean seriously, why the hateration on Daisy’s special day?

      1. Oh no, I didn’t mean it that way. It looks very nice! I’m just used to working on websites all the time and noticing minor details. No biggy really.

  8. Love Andrea, Love your site, and I Love you too Daisy! (I’m in a lovey mood apparently!) Congrats on making it to year 2! Honestly, I liked the yellow…but I know there are people–like my husband–who are majorly turned off by the bright hue!

  9. This is really lovely, Daisy. Congratulations on your new blog design. It is a nice improvement over your last one. Be proud, be happy, and enjoy it.

  10. I like the new site, but liked the old one, too! For some reason I have a thing for yellow painted walls, and don’t seem to mind it on websites, either!
Also – I signed up for the subscription, but I think it’s funny because I’d already added you to my pulse.me ages ago. For some reason that doesn’t seem to count as a reader to a lot of sites, though…
Congrats on the changes, must feel nice to have them done!

  11. We’re going to pull the curtain back on the Wizard of Oz! I entered every one of those things!

Congrats on your two year! The new design looks outstanding!

  12. Very slick! Looks 10x more professional.

Yikes, you’ve got me worried about self-hosting – I’ve only got about 100 subscribers and I know a lot of them follow through WordPress, not RSS…

  13. Love your blog. Didn’t love the bright yellow. Love the new look. 🙂
    Congrats on your milestone!

  15. I think the site looks great. I really need to give mine the same attention at some point! And you should just get on with the reveal! I struggled with that myself, but I’m glad I just pulled back the curtain (most of the way).
