Guys, since I started the Yakezie challenge (and dropped 500K off of my Alexa ranking in less than a month, holla!) I have found so.many.great.blogs.
It’s hard to keep up. I went to go create my link love this week, and am terrified at how big my Reader list is. So, there are a lot of great blogs out there, and therefore, lots of great posts this week. The list below doesn’t even skim the top!
So obviously, I’m super excited for my homegirl, Katie, as she’s now debt free! I’ve been reading her blog for a year and a half now, and it’s so amazing to have followed her as she scrimped and saved to get out of her debt trap.
Melissa from BrokeTO writes about how she graduated from university without debt - a huge accomplishment that I wasn’t smart enough to do – turns out that even if you work 50 hours a week while you’re in college, if you spend all your money on clothes you’re not doing yourself any favours (who knew? 19 year old Daisy didn’t).
American Debt Project writes about doing what you’re GREAT at, not what you’re just GOOD at. I’m hoping I’ll be great at my job – we’ll see!
Andrea at So Over Debt writes about the enabling tendencies of Pinterest, which is like electronic crack, for the record. If I don’t avoid the clothes boards, I fall into the Pinterest spend trap.
I had a lot of fun with Minting Nickels’ finish this sentence game.
Sam from Financial Samurai discusses the upside of being average. Interesting thoughts.
Miss T from Prairie Eco Thrifter made me laugh with the 10 reasons why you’re broke. I used to do almost all of these things.
