I know it’s only May, but it feels like summer is finally approaching. The sunshine is out, it’s warm, and the air smells of flowers and freshly cut grass.
It also helps that my summer classes started this week. I have a major case of senioritis, and knowing that I’ll be graduating in August is really the only thing pushing me forward in school. Luckily, one of my classes is Finance, which will be easy and fun and maybe I’ll even learn something new.
Anyway, without further adieu:
Posts I Loved This Week
On Authenticity in Blogging, by Eemusings. This was a really good post, but one that made me take a step back and look at WLGYL to see whether I’ve been able to maintain an acceptable level of authenticity even as it grows. I certainly do some of the things Eemusings mentions in the post as being un-authentic. I comment on a LOT of blogs, I’ll usually try to reciprocate to those who make an effort to be active on WLGYL, and I network (quite a bit). Begging for links? No. It’s a fine line, I guess.
101 Centavos gives some career tips for “young folks”. I guess I’m young folk, and I loved all of the tips.
The Happy Homeowner committed THE sin. THE sin! The one where a PF blogger quits their job without having another one lined up.
Hey, if you’re miserable in your job, your miserable!
I am 1 Percent posts about ways to become a 1 percenter - this made me laugh.
Andrea at So Over Debt posts about things that financially suck about being a single parent.
Shawanda at You Have More Than You Think gives us some tips for mastering a job interview.
Also, my awesome bloggy mentor Andrea launched her website for Nuts and Bolts Media – she’s amazing so I suggest you take advantage of her services!

Thanks for the link love!
If part of your strategy for growing your blog and building relationships is commenting on a ton of blogs – and it works – then keep doing what works for you.
Thanks for the double shout out, friend! I appreciate your support.
Thanks for the link, young folk. Very gratified you liked the post.

I really like the post about authenticity as well. I’ve had a few emails about link exchanges and it kinda bothers me.
