The only thing I can say is that your goal of getting a promotion is tough, isn’t it? Because it depends on other people to realize your potential and boost you up. I like goals better that are 100% in my control. Like the weight thing. Or the 1hr/day thing. Good job on those!

I recently lost weight with my wife. She lost 12 pounds and me like 22 in about 2 months. How we did it???? Smoothies! fruit and veg smoothies for breakfast and lunch with a normal dinner. We also cut down the junk food to only a couple times a week.Was actually quite easy and my body really needed the detox. Give it a try!

You can absolutely sustain yourself if you need to, especially with your online income growing at that rate- I speak from experience.

I’m in a similar situation as you when it comes to career. I really want to take a risk but it’s scary as hell. People always remind me to take risks when I’m young as well. It’s great advice, I just need to learn to do it. 🙂

Good luck with getting the promotion and extra $7,000 a year is HUGE. What may be more beneficial than that is the experience you will gain in your new role that can make you more marketable to your firm, and to other companies. I have had a few promotions over the last several years and each step I was nervous to say the least, but it always turned out well, thankfully I have had a strong management team above me that has helped me along the way, I hope you have some higher ups in your corner too! How long is the temp job supposed to last? I think it makes a big difference if it is a 3 month, 6 month, or 22 year assignment.

Take risks while you’re young! It’s easier to recover from your risks than when you’re older with possibly a larger family that is dependent on your finances. If it’s something that you’re interested in, go for it!

It’s great to have opportunities, don’t put yourself in a position where ten years from now you’ll wish you weren’t so afraid of the change. I’ve found it pretty incredible how my attitude toward risk has changed over the past few years, without me noticing. I miss adventures! Take them while they are available.

Congrats on your progress, Daisy! It’s amazing you are able to accomplish so much with your wedding planning going on. That must suck up a lot of your time. Hopefully you can enjoy the process and the wedding and not stress too much! Just breathe… and garden.. ha ha!
