The hotel the we checked in was really accommodating and gave us much discount on the rooms of our choice. However, I still find earlier bookings better. Less cramming.

Great to hear! We’ve had good luck getting the best prices on Hilton properties through its app and websites. Glad to hear that calling direct leads to better discounts.

I have been following #5 for the past year now and find I get better prices, discounts and service by calling the hotel direct instead of booking through a travel website. I still use the website to compare prices, but calling direct seems to work better for me.
