Planning to use the Sideline app. I really hate talking to phone solicitors. Hope this app helps me block them or avoid them because I don’t want to be rude when I hang up quickly. LOL

Great points. Hanging up quickly is my first response, though I don’t think that gets me anywhere and they end up calling later anyway. I also try not to be rude and ask to be put on Do Not Call list, but they often hang up on me in mid-sentence, leaving me to believe they’re not adding me to their don’t call list.

Maybe if no one buys anything from phone solicitors, they’ll stop using this method to sell. It must be working, otherwise they wouldn’t be doing it.

That Sideline app sounds interesting. I get a ton of telemarketer calls despite being on the Do Not Call registry. Having done a touch of telemarketing in my life, I try not to be rude or annoy them (they are human beings just trying to make a living), but I do quickly ask them to remove me from their list and I block repeat offenders. And if they’re scams, like the “Global IT Center” telling me I have a virus on my computer, then all bets are off (I usually tell them I don’t have a computer and listen to them stammer or try to convince me otherwise).
