However, as whatever amount of money I save, I think I am still on the way to putting myself in financial stability status.

Love that sentence and I do the same. I too look back and realize how much I no longer resemble my former shopaholic self! Quality over quantity wins every time in our house.

I use to roam the malls during my lunch hours and “window shop” and buy anything that I thought was a “good deal”. In my eyes, all I saw was: 70% off! 50% off! extra 40% off sale price.

Now I shop for better quality and classic items where I can wear it many times or in different ways (transforming clothes – such as tunics can be worn as a tank or blazer that can turn into a jacket or a bag that can be both a shoulder and a cross body bag).

In my late teens/early twenties, I also spent loads on cheap trendy clothes and pretty much every piece has been donated by now. Total waste! I’ve always been a pretty healthy eater but back in the day I went out to the bars all.the.time and blew way too much money on drinks. I don’t do that nearly as much anymore 😀

I’ve also made a conscious effort to purchase quality items. I’d rather have a few key pieces that I wear to the ground than a closet overflowing with ill-fitting, cheap stuff. It’s funny how we all seem to grow into that mindset, eh?
