I’ve been to the Oregon coast, and went to Canon Beach and Astoria. I liked both towns, very different but fun to visit in their own way.

The natural beauty and seclusion of the Oregon coast, along with the powerful rocky coastline and nice little towns in which one could stay, make it a really fun trip. Very different than the environment than here in Chicago, and I do want to return there.

Having been to 47 of the 50 states, I’ve seen a fair amount. The Oregon Coast is one of those places that just resonated with me, and is among my favorites. Not saying it’s for everyone by any means, but I liked it.

I’ve always wanted to visit that region. We make trips like that all the time…I’m a pretty seasoned road warrior, so driving 8 hours by myself is no biggie for me as long as I have someone to talk to in the passenger’s seat.
