In early 2012 a wrote a post about the things that life is just far too short to do<\/a>. Complaining and making reasonable meal choices got on the list back then.<\/p>\n

There are a whole bunch of other things that life is too short to do, as I’ve realized recently, and I thought I’d share them with you:<\/p>\n

Trim animals nails yourself<\/h3>\n

You couldn’t pay me enough to have to do this. Not only are my dogs’ nails undoubtedly disgusting (they walk on the ground, probably through their own poop, and dig everything), but the $100 vet bill if I cut too close to the nail bed and hurt the poor thing is a lot more expensive than just taking them to the groomers. That’s why there are professionals! For $15\/dog I remain awesome from my dogs’ point of view, and I don’t get scratched in the eyes, either.<\/p>\n

Lose Stuff<\/h3>\n

J is constantly losing things, and it takes him forever to find them. He’s always rustling through drawers and baskets looking for whatever went “missing”. I’m usually pretty good with this, but just this morning I panicked because I was trying to get everything together before leaving for work and somehow lost my phone charger. Life is just too short for that..<\/p>\n

Watch American Idol, The Voice, Or Any Other Equivalent<\/h3>\n

After awhile, all of the contestants start sounding the exact same, and the story ends up being the same, and it’s just boring. My mom watches these shows still and tries to summon me when I am there and they are on. I just can’t handle it. Garbage! Now, I’m not opposed to some reality TV, but this stuff is terrible.<\/p>\n

Tie Shoelaces or Ties<\/h3>\n

One time, when J and I first started dating, we went to a wedding of a family friend of mine. J borrowed a dress shirt and a tie from his dad, and we were in stitches trying to tie the stupid thing. We ended up giving up and he went without, which was fine. This was before the Gotie<\/a>\u00a0was known to us.<\/p>\n

I feel the same about shoelaces. I’m not going to bend over and untie them just to put my foot in the shoe and tie it back up. I ruin many a pair of shoes this way.<\/p>\n

Use Cheap Toiletries<\/h3>\n

I may be frugal, but you aren’t going to catch me with dollar store shampoo on my hair or cheap makeup on my face. Personal care is sacred and cheap products don’t deserve to be used. Believe it or not, Colgate knows what it is doing better than your local dollar store does when manufacturing toothbrushes.<\/p>\n

Don’t waste your time doing these things! We have a finite amount of precious hours on this planet and it’s insane to spend them with cheap deodorant on and a sloppily tied tie.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
