The Easiest Money I’ve Ever Made

Money isn’t usually easy to come by. We have to work hard for any money that comes into our hands. But there are a few times that I’ve come by money very easily. These aren’t usually huge amounts but it’s nice to come by some money that you don’t have to work for.

Here are some of the easiest ways I’ve ever made (or found) money:

On the Ground

I’ve found money on the ground a few times. One time, I found $60 in twenty dollar bills on the ground. Another time I found a five when camping. That same camping trip I found a $10.

I think I must have been particularly lucky that week, because camping isn’t exactly the most expected place to find money.

Obviously, my luck isn’t as great as those who have found suitcases full of money on the side of the road, but there is no easier way to come by money other than to find it.

At an Online Casino

The first time I ever tried playing any casino games was during my stay at my friend’s place. This was the first online experience for both of us. Via Casino Magasinet we were registered at a casino room that was offering the best bonuses at that point of time.

I gave myself a budget to spend during the evening, and I won $50 at the first slot machine game I tried.

It may have been beginners luck, but it was fun and easy all the same. Winning money from the comfort of my couch at home and simultaneously enjoying a glass of red wine was really nice.

 Selling Something on Craigslist

Don’t get me wrong; usually, selling things on Craigslist takes a lot of time and effort. You have to take pictures of the item, spend time measuring or accurately describing it, make the ad, and negotiate with and respond to potential buyers of the item.

This particular time, though, I wanted to sell a top that I just didn’t wear anymore. I listed it on Craigslist with minimal detail and twenty minutes later I got a response from somebody who wanted to pick it up an hour later.

I didn’t have to leave my house. I didn’t even have to talk to the person on the phone. They emailed me and swung by an hour later. I had an extra $25 in my hand for such little work.

Negotiating a Bill Down

I don’t think this really counts as making money, but there is no easier way to save or come by extra money than to negotiate a bill down.

I call my utilities companies every once in awhile to talk my bills down. If the companies are not willing to reduce your bills, they are usually at least willing to adjust the service that they provide you to improve it.

I called my internet company a few months ago and told them that there was a promotion on with their competitor (not a lie) that offered me better internet for less money. They matched the price of the other company even though it was just a temporary promotion, and improved my internet service (for less money).

It was a 15 minute long phone conversation and was incredibly easy.

  1. I used to make easy money by doing being a research subject when I was in school. The easiest one ever was the $100 they paid me to watch my brainwave patterns as I slept for 3 hours!

Just kidding–I’ve sold things online before, and I made the easiest money by listing things on Craigslist and eBay.
