FITNESS IS NOT EXPENSIVE,YOUR APPROACH IS!
In recent times, where we have all been traumatised by the horrors of COVID-19 and other diseases which bought loss to us and our families. We surely questioned the priorities of our life and the way we have been living.
One common thought that crossed all our minds globally is how important it is to stay fit and healthy. a well-nourished and healthy body will naturally have a better immune system to fight such unwanted diseases in a better manner.
BUT how do we define fitness, is it lifting heavy weight in the gym? or is it running 10 miles every day? or is it all about eating exotic fruits and vegetables?
what is fitness?
Well, In the simplest definition, FITNESS is the ability to carry out day to day activities with sound physical and mental health. Anything that enhances your productivity and gives a positive direction to your physical and mental health is a step towards fitness.
how much does it cost to stay fit?
It is just a myth that fitness comes with a heavy price tag or you need to spend an ample amount of money to stay fit. In reality, all it takes is some effort and little changes in life when it comes to living a healthy and fit life. FITNESS IS A LIFESTYLE and the more you learn, the better you will live.
the first step . . .
In the end, it is a journey you will have to walk but this is our take on how to take your first step towards your fitness journey without worrying about finances-
1.APPRECIATE AND ANALYSE-
The first thing you need to do is congratulate yourself for giving thought to something that matters and be positive about it. Now Analyse your fitness goal and be reasonable about it, don’t be hard on yourself by setting unrealistic goals in an unrealistic time frame. BE TRUE TO YOURSELF!
2.START WITH THE BASICS-
ALWAYS start with the basics, let that be like a walk or jog in the park nearby, eating no junk food for one whole day, or grabbing your yoga mat and breathing sitting on your balcony. This will give you positive energy and motivate you towards the long term goal.
3.FITNESS ATTIRE-
NO, You don’t need the new pair of Nike shoes to run better and you also don’t need the expensive sports attire you just scrolled on the internet. Take it easy till you don’t build a schedule for your fitness.
Wear anything comfortable you have and just start with your fitness goals, all the other fancy things will just be an unnecessary burden on your pocket.
4.DIET AND NUTRITION-
This is the key to fitness, what you feed your body will always reflect in the energy your body will produce. Start with controlling your fooding habit, keep track of how often you eat junk food and its effects on your body.
Try saving money on the junk food you eat outside and rather buy healthy groceries from the nearby market from that money and cook at home.
5.STAY LOCAL-
Next time you go grocery shopping, do not be biased with the exotic fruits, vegetables, nuts, and meat you read about on the internet( not doubting their nutritional value) but try to fill your basket with anything fresh and local.
Try consuming seasonal fruits and vegetables available in your local market. They are fresh and 50% more likely to be easily absorbed by your body than the costly imported stuff on the racks of your supermarket.
6.THE 21/90 RULE –
It takes 21 days to build a habit and 90 days to build a lifestyle. Stay focused on your goal and try to be consistent. Even if you end up messing up your schedule(which you will for sure), be back on track with more confidence and dedication that you NEED TO DO IT FOR YOU.
